Brazil, really?

Just clicked 'send' on what could be a life changing email! Met a beautiful
Brazil
ian missionary Artemis and her husband Carlos at Northwest Bible Church during World Passion Week. We connected right away and I was drawn to her sweetness and authenticity. After Bible study, she told me of Carlos' position as president at a seminary north of Sao Paulo,
Brazil
and their desire to train women in theology and equip them with English before graduation. This immediately stirred my passion for women's ministry and I haven't quit thinking about it since. I've been so hesitant to email her honestly out of fear of where God will lead. The opportunity sounds amazing..small town life, hanging out with women seminary students, life in another culture...but my fear of insufficiency always seems to lurk right behind my shoulder like a little cloud ready to burst. The most interesting and encouraging part was her story of coming to the US each year on furlough to meet with her sending churches. To me, it would mean I could come home yearly for prosthetic adjustments, see my family and spend time with those involved in ministry. Just sounds phenomenal. So, as you can tell, I'm passionately beginning the pursuit.
Regardless of the outcome, I'm excited to open the door of possibility.
Prayer for World Passion Week and my heart's desire: Father, thank You for the life, death and resurrection of Your Son. Thank you Jesus for finding us and restoring us to peace with God. We accept the commission to be Your mouth, hands, and feet to the city of
Dallas
and around the world, even at great cost to ourselves. Holy Spirit help us to bring the love of Jesus to every circle of people; giving water to the thirsty, food to the hungry, love to the unloved and direction to the lost. Help us connect broken people to Jesus, the One who can heal them. May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His sufferings, as You add to our numbers daily those who are being saved. Amen.

Do not be afraid, God will lead you in the right direction. I really admire your drive to follow God. Many Christians let fear stand in their way of doing God's will.
