More of the North North.  I'm not sure where, but somewhere between the Arctic Circle and Toronto.  Mountains and snow. Another picture of the snack. The North Pole!  (approximately) Mmmm...the snack on the plane.  They fed us well on the plane!  First we got a snack, equivalent to pretzels/peanuts and a drink.  Next, we had a hot lunch (chopsticks and forks provided), then halfway through the trip we had a snack (pictured) which incl We piled all of the bags (6 people's, so about 18 bags) onto one side of our bus.  I thought it would tip over! When we walked out of the international arrivals/customs area there was a tunnel of people holding signs to pick people up.  This picture shows the outside of the tunnel (it is to the left, but you can't really tell). Our first look at China! Our drive back from the airport again.  It was about a 50 minute drive.  I only thought that we were going to crash about 3 times.  On the drive from the airport.  It is raining and foggy out (or just raining and polluted). Our bathroom, complete with a western toilet, shower, and sink. Our bedroom, we have two of those large wardrobes.  In this picture is my bed.  We still have to decorate the walls a bit :-) Our kitchen while standing in the living room (TV and chairs are the living room part).  The view from our bedroom again, only looking to the right.  Again, the humidity spots. The view from our bedroom window.  It is only 6:30 PM and it is dark.  It is not raining, but it looks like it might be in this photo.  I think that the reason is because it is VERY humid!  I'll try to take a picture when it is light out and see if that h The view from our bedroom during the day. The brand on our air conditioner.  Haier is a very popular brand here for air conditioning.  Their logo is two small children in their underwear and one is eating an icecream cone. Our washing machine! Plastic storage containers. Our new water machine! The checkout.  There are a lot of people.  We thought that lines at Wal-Mart are long in the U.S., but we were wrong.  Lines here are SUPER long! The Supermarkets have escalator ramps that you take the carts on to move from each floor. Popcorn!  One is salt and pepper flavored and the other is sweet cream.  They had a try-a-taste of the sweet cream kind, it was pretty good. This really good sweet tea that we drank at a restaurant and then found in the store.  It is called Simple BBQ (or so we think) Blueberry potato chips.  We haven't tried them yet, but we're very curious! Mmmm...Doritos in a really cool looking bag. Noodles! A power strip from China.  We own two now. We're hoping that this is like the orange If you don't want someone to climb over your wall, just place broken glass on the top of it. On our walk to the subway station.  This is about a two or three blocks from the school. Watch out for stuff falling on your head.
