A good day out

We've been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast with the idea of saving the places we want to visit that will mean being inside for a rainy day. Day by day the prediction of rain and thunder storms has moved back towards Thursday, which will be our last full day, so we decided to take...

Let's try some public transport

Dodge the guards at Fisherman's Bastion! When we arrived on Sunday, we trotted across the square to what we thought was the ramparts and were able to walk along a part which gave excellent views over Pest. The following morning we thought it would be nice to see this in early morning light; oh...

Hop on - hop off

A walk round the old town taking in the Vienna Gate and views of the surrounding Buda Hills before catching the Hop on Hop Off Bus from the Palace about 300 metres from our hotel. A great way to get our bearings and have an idea of what we might want to return to to explore in more depth later...

Arrival

And today's lesson is.................when you change your pin, don't forget to change the note you made of it. Embarrassment at Manchester Airport when the card I had got for this trip back in October didn't respond to the pin I thought it had. When able to think in the cool light of a pint...

Pest-ivus for the Rest-of-us

OMG! This morning Kris woke up at 6am (pretty much broad daylight) to some Hungarian thug stealing my bike!! Uh, a bright yellow, with pink T-mobile sticker bike - totally not cool to be trolling around on if you're a local I'm sure. Our window was wide open on the fourth floor, so he heard some...

I'll Take Buda for $1000 Alex

Well I'm trying to catch up with this travel blog right now. I came down with a small cold that has left me a little tired over the last few days, complete with stuffy sinuses and a running nose. I think it's the cold weather? Regardless, on Thursday we made it to a number of really cool...

Buda or Pest?

Holy cow, the Hungarians definitely contrast the Viennese! A little more rambunctious crowd and noticeably larger stature. Last night's bar crowd was a little rowdy, knocking things over and getting wild. The underground here is functional and packed with people, but definitely not new and...

I wanna go back!!!

launch

Autószerelés, mivel a kocsi alig ment padlógázzal is (a dobfékek szorulnak, túl lett húzva) Székesfehérvár újépítésű részén álltunk neki emelővel amit ezúton is köszönünk a párnak aki kölcsönadta.
