Welcome to Laos!

18 hours travelling several different "buses" one landslide and two muddy feet but I made it and its lovely. Very quiet and relaxed compared to a certain neighbor. Raining at the moment looks like it has been for a while. more soon!

We Love Laos

Vang Vieng

After Luang Prabang We went straight to A village called Vang Vieng. The village has some very nice scenery around it, all around there is limestone mountains. The Mekong river also floats through here, as in alot of other places we have visited here in souteast asia...actually, the mekong...

Luang prabang, beautiful little town...

Hello!! Soo! After Vientiane, we decided to go north to a town called Luang Prabang. The town is Unesco world heritage and you understand why when you arrive! The town is set along a river, and the vegetation is absolutely amazing and very luxurious... It is also filled with beautiful Wats...

Vientiane

After another long busride, but at least on the same bus all the time and not changing 6 times we arrived in Vientiane! Capital of Laos. Despite being a capital it feels more like a big Village than an actual city capital. There is only 200000 people living here, and for a capital that is not...

Slow boat

Took the slowboat down the Mekong river for 2 days and it was worth it to reach the beautiful French influenced town of Luang Prabang. Onwards from here to Vang Vieng for some river tubing and then onto the capital - Vientiane.
