GP day!

After a night of trying to sleep with ringing ears, we awoke, got ready and met the team to head to the circuit. On the way there we devised our smuggling plans to get some water and food in, due to the poor security we didn't have to try too hard, and really only needed a sacrificial bottle...

Qualifying

After taking a lazy day Friday, we decided we would head down to watch the GP qualifying with our new friends, seven 50 year old blokes from UK out for a beano. We took the Monorail to Sentral where we picked up the Air Asia Skybus special to the Sepang circuit. The trip was pretty easy...

Chilling in KL

Today was the practice day of The Grand Prix but we decided to miss it and instead sort out our visas for Vietnam and Indonesia. However this was a little more difficult than expected so intead we achieved virtually nothing all day and went out for dinner in the evening with a group of guys...

Back once again to KL

Today we sadly left Tioman Island and went back to Kuala-Lumpur in preparation for the Grand Prix. Travelling was easy but took some time and arrived in a huge thunderstorm and then headed out to the city to a bar with fantastic views of the city...

Another last day of snorkelling

Today is our last full day on Tioman Island so we decided to make the most of it and go snorkelling one last time. It wasn't however as enjoyable as the previous trip as there were lots of stinging plankton in the water which is apperently unpredictable and changes with the tides so we...

A nothingness day

We had a great relaxing day today taking a nice long walk along the beach and just appreciating just how beautiful this island truly is. Chris in fact doesn't ever want to leave it is that chilled and idyllic here!

A very long walk to tekek

Today we decided to go for a walk to the next beach along from ABC beach, which we are staying on to Tekek. We thought it really wouldn’t be that far but it was about 3 Miles away and it was blisteringly hot so it was hard work! Tekek is the main place where you can buy supplies...

Snorkelling for 4 ½ hours

Yesterday we made a new friend called Rob who is a scuba diver instructor. Although neither Chris nor I quite have the courage for scuba, yet we went out snorkelling and Rob said he would show us around and come with us. It was great actually; as he spotted some things that, we would’ve...

Beautiful Tioman Island

We were still pretty tired after travelling so today we didn’t do a great deal apart from going on a nice walk the whole length of the beach. Tioman Island is really beautiful with clear gorgeous blue sea and loads of wildlife. We saw many monkeys, which look like they have beards,...

2 ferries, 4 buses, 2 flights, 1 taxi and a great deal of walking

Our flight left on time for KL and once there we had a 7 hour wait for our next flight to Johor Bahru near Singapore. Although the flights were really cheap it would’ve better in hindsight to just catch a bus as there would’ve been less waiting around as the flight was only 45...
