Day 53

Went to the beach in the morning, and drove to Marbella. Walked around. I bought a cute little green dress that I'm amazed I can wear. Dinner back at the hotel.

Day 52

Changed to the Hotel Melia and vegitated on the beach. Dinner at a pizza restaurant (why do we keep doing this?) and walked through the tacky town.

Day 51

Visited the modern museum and a collector's market -- stamps, movie cards, etc.

checked into our hotel in Torremolinos -- the Parador del Golf. Ugh.

Day 50

Drove from Barcelona to Valencia where we stopped for Paella, which was made and served by a woman who asked if Americans are like in the movies.

From Valencia we drove to Alicante, checked into the Hotel Palas, walked around the night market and had dinner.

Day 49

Today was the Picasso Museum, a walk through the gothic quarter and Cathedral, to Plaza de Catalunya, bought a briefcase (before the Plaza), taxi to Barcelonetta for lunch, to Bernice's hotel, walk down Pg de Garcia and past the Gaudi building. Diner at Il Villagio again.

Day 48

We visited Montjuich, the Miro Foundation, Museo de Arte Cataluna, took a cab (great driver) to the Fort, along the port to Parque Zoologique, walked up Las Ramblas, Bario Botic, bookstalls, to Restaurant Lluria for dinner.

Day 47

Just a stop on the way to Barcelona, but worthy of a mention because it's a shit little town where we had a horrible lunch.

We arrived in Barcelona and are staying at th Hotel Gran Via. Dinner was pizza at Il Villagio.
