Aloha!

It was a work of Debbie. The Island Aloha party. When in the works we contemplated roating a whole pig, but in the end, we stuck to store bought ham. Everybody gathered once again at the bailer hill house. It was not only a celbration but a time to say goodbye to another safarian, trevor....

Epilogue

We had a wonderful time floating down the Rogue River in a rented raft! We aimed for the white water just for fun. We high centered it a couple of times - the river is pretty low. The category 4 rapids were onesies and twosies when we went over them. Our skinny companion - my friend's niece...

An the admin continues

I am so tired. The supermarket had nothing I recognised. I was completely at the mercy of Americans. Take washing powder for instance. They don't have it. They have a funny washing liquid, and each liquid is for a different thing. You'd think they'd put on the label what each was for but...

Finally!

I am stuffed so I will make this quick. Dad's apartment was very cool, and his workmates are fantastic. It was a bit of a pity - Mum spent ages with me at the airport and I felt very loved as I stepped on the plane to Auckland, but Dad got a business call and sort-of forgot that he wouldn't...

The Transfer

Hot. That was pretty much the only impression of Miami I had time for. Having practically sprinted off the plane, we (my new friend and I!) found a very helpful lady in arrivals who cheerfully told us we had almost certainly missed our connection and handed us each a piece of paper...

An Inter-Island Kayak game of Dodgball!

The date was set. It was San Juan Safaris against Crystal Sea's kayking. It was going to be an extreme game of dodgeball. We arrived to the dogeball Field in our blue kayaking teeshirts (most of us just getting off work). . At first Blue outnumbered Crystal so rounds were set up. Then as more...

waiting in the plane

This was the worst (the only bad, really) part of the trip. On the plane; boarding was a little late (scheduled departure around 5:20 a.m. Sat on the plane until about 6, then the pilot said that they were waiting for some paperwork. We waited another 45 minutes or so. Turns out the computer was...

1st flight

US Air wanted to put me on a non-stop to Charlotte, but then I wouldn't be upgraded to first class. I stayed with my original itinerary. By the way, I still don't have the miles credited for the first leg.
