On the road

So I hop into the Passat, throw on some Darkness, and pull out of the driveway. I got "Get your hands off of my woman..." blaring as I round the bend onto Sienna. In the distance I see some rainclouds, but I'm not worried. Not with what I have ahead of me.

Close call

Ok, I'm driving down the road when out of nowhere this chick in a Hummer appears ahead of me in the fast land. She's talking on her cell phone, which is annoying enough, but the really irritating thing is that she's only doing 45 in a 50 zone! Damn it, woman, pedal on the right! I'm so ticked...

Promised land... or is it?

Pulling into the Taco Bell parking lot I suddenly get butterflies in my stomach. I can't believe that after all those minutes on the road I'm finally here. i step out of the car and into the cool 85 degree California air, but the goosebumps on my arms are more from excitement than the chill in...

Home sweet home

The trip back home was uneventful. I had my recently refilled diet pepsi at my side and a full stomach. Man, if only other people could live like this. The world would be a better place.

Forums go live

Cranking out features like this and like that! Forums went live today, and they've exploded with a whopping ONE post to date. Yeah! Taking the world by storm! Photos are also getting easier to manage by the day. With luck, we'll have Tagging in place for photos and comments soon. For now...

Are there really Mexican cities in Africa?

We're using a latitude/longitude database put together by the US government. It has over 2 million populated places in it, and for the most part it's fairly accurate. But not always. During testing, I kept seeing cities showing up in places they really didn't belong. And strange things, like...

Usability

Things have been moving fast these last few days. We finally pushed our first build live on Saturday, and have been getting lots of good usability feedback. Lesson One: Nobody Reads Instructions! This was our first real mistake. Our screens were easy enough to use, but you really needed...

RTL Test

Here is some text in Hebrew. I have no idea what it says...

Day 11

Our last port was Ketchikan, where we wandered around town and then I did a ropes and zip line course. All it took was some balance.
