Almost in Auckland...

Cannot believe we are leaving Australia already!.. So we got ourselves motivated eventually to get on with stuff and to get ready for flying out in the evening to New Zealand. Chris cooked a culinary delight in the evening consisting of homemade pate and his signature dish of pork belly for...

Arrived in Auckland

In case you all wonder, we arrived safely in New Zealand after a small stop in Seoul. The trip was fine. Everything is fine except the internet access here in New Zealand. I will probably update this blog only when I will be back home. So, do not forget, no news = good news.

Home sweet home

Friday 4th- Sunday 13th Feb. What would be the most exciting things about going home? Seeing all the family? Yes. Mums’ cooking? Of course yes. Receiving copious amounts of love from your nieces and embrassing your nephew? Defiantly yes. But the most exciting thing of all was ordering a cup of...

Whangamata

The ship was docked in downtown Auckland for two days. We had arranged in advance to meet our friends, Judy and Barry, whom we had met on our Yangtze River cruise many years ago. They picked us up at the ship and drove us to their "batch", or Summer cottage in Whangamata, about a two hour...

North Island

Docked in Auckland.Had a tour of the city.Lovely trees and flowers, great boating. The city is on a narrow peninsula where it is just a short distance from the Pacific to the Tasman Sea.There was talk of building a canal across but it would be too expensive so now if you want to bring a boat from...

Trial Post

Well, this is the only blog site that we can find at the moment that we think will get past the Chinese FIrewall. So, even though the set up is pretty hard to work out, this is looking like our best bet.

Ay carumba....its Mehico!!!

We arrived into Mehico with a bit of a bump and felt confused and a little scared by how Western it felt. The town of Tulum was pretty much a holiday strip full of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops and our hostel was full of irritating "gap yahhhhs." The American feel continued up to the next...

Wrappin' it all up. :)

Well, I'm sitting in my hostel's computer cafe simply waiting for our time here to come to an end. Kelly and have officially seen all of Auckland that is within a reasonable walking distance, have easily shopped in over 50 shops, and can think of nothing better to do than to sit on the internet....

Livin' in Kiwi-land. :)

Our last day in Sydney was the relaxing day that both Kelly and I NEEDED. We got up late, stayed in our PJ's until about 10, watched a movie in the morning, walked to the local mall and did some shopping, walked back and watched another movie, got taken out to supper, packed, and then went to...
