We are here!!

Carissa and I arrived yesterday at 5am! As soon as we landed we got on this tiny airplane to the Bay of Islands. We are staying in a town called Paihia. Super cute, quaint, and heaven for anyone in need of a vacation! The first day we relaxed, and dealt with our moodiness, and need of a good nights sleep!! We took a great nap on the beach, and enjoyed some beers at our hostel w/ some new friends we had made. I met some really cool new peeps from London, and got to sleep pretty early considering we are used to it being 3 hours later. New Zealand is 21 hours ahead because of the international dateline. The easy way to figure it out is to deduct 3 hours from whatever time it is in Cali. 9pm = 6pm KiWI time :)
Today we woke up at 7 and got some great breakfast on the beach. Relaxin' and planning the day was in order! We rented some bikes, and took off to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, this is where the nation's founding document was signed between the Maori chiefs & the British Crown. Got back on the bikes and continued our 10 mile bike ride! If you don't have spin classes we will make them!! Haha. We are determined to stay in shape. So we rode on to the Haruru waterfall, some crazy hills, our legs are burning, but worth every second of it. This place is beautiful!! We got back made some sandwiches, and we are preparing for our cruise tonight. We are leaving at 4 tonight, to go on an overnight cruise around the bay of islands. We are hoping to see killer whales, dolphins, and some fishies while we snorkel. We'll see!!
