Leningrad (NOW ST PETERSBURG)
2 Hours in customs. Got to Hotel (Leningrad)- Great Hotel, Meal of veal stew, red cabbage, cucumber, and saute potatoes. Starters sardine & cucumber and pumpernickle bread.
Lovely view from Hotel Leningrad of river Neva. It is beautiful and you can see the lights on the other side. We have spent some of the evening in the hotel nightclub, where they had a full floor-show - Singing in the rain, I just called to say I love you, etc - Great!
We danced until midnight, Leningrad time (9 o'clock our time)
I'm in the hotel room number 655 with a lovely view of the river, and some duty-free scotch and a free Pepsi which I found.
P.S. The flight was great, no bump and just under 3 1/2 hours.
