Hiked around the Serra_dos_Orgãos_National_Park and an outdoor art fair today. Tried the caldo de cana - a cold drink of sugar cane juice. Muito bom! There's good rockclimbing in the area but couldn't find any bouldering on the side of the park I visited. Resting up for the long bus ride...

Break from the big city

Spent this past week taking Portuguese lessons and exploring around Rio, then arrived this afternoon in Teresópolis about an hour and a half bus ride to the north. Rio is an interesting place and very scenic in parts but it still feels good to be out of the big city. It's a bit tense there...
