3 kids, 3 countries, 10 hours. Mission Success

The title says it all. Our joyous family of 5 left our home in Japan in the wee hours of Tuesday morning and by bedtime, we were speeding along the highway between Bangkok and [[Myanmar-(Burma)/Pattaya]]. A 4 hour flight to Tai Pei, Taiwan, a lightning quick layover, and another 3 hours in the air. All 3 kids were awake at 4 am when we left for the airport and only our youngest slept at all before Bangkok, and that was a 20 minute nap. What amazed us more than our survival was the change in temperature. We were expecting a shock from the weather, but a 50 degree change was a bit more dramatic than we had anticipated. A week in tropical temps is just the break we need from our frigid and rainy Tokyo Christmas that lays ahead.
