1 month anniversary

Dongguan, China

Well, it's been an amazing month with experiences that would have never happened if I'd stayed home in Oz.

I miss you all but I know this is something I have to do for myself. Thank you for all your support and well wishes that you've sent by email and comments on this blog.

On a happier note, this is the last week of terms (!?!) We're all looking forward to time off from school and a mini-break from Dongguan. 5 of us (Ville, Aine, Kathryn & Olivia) are heading to Macau for 2 nights mid next week. We still have to work out the details but we're all really looking forward to the trip.

Well, now I have to do lesson plans for the week, so have a great week and chat soon.

Love
Katrina

Hey Katrina,

Sounds like you're having an amazing time and I'm so glad I found this site - it's amazing what you can find when you're googling for a long lost friend!! Will you ever forgive me for being so rubbish at keeping in touch?!?! I'm glad you survived the first few days - they're always tough but you sound like you're a natural.

Shall keep you bookmarked and am eager to hear more

Hey Gill!

Good to hear from you :)

Yup, you're right, it's bloody hard word but each lesson it gets easier and I'm enjoying myself a lot more.

They all have exams tomorrow so I have Thursday off but have to work on Saturday to make up for it, so my holiday is delayed by a day!

Hope everything is going well for you and G.

Dear Sparks,

Congratulations on surviving your 1st month - I can't believe how quickly it has gone. Have a fantastic time on your Bridget Jones inspired 'Mini-Break' - look forward to hearing all about it on your return. Hope you have been steering clear of those pineapple beers! Any other Chinese delicacies that you are enjoying that you would care to share? Hope everything continues to be exciting and interesting for you. Miss you

Love Michelle

Mmmm....lets see...I'm an Aussie girl who decided to take time off work and explore the world. I'm glad I did because I'm having the time of my life.
