there's a loose moose about the house...

Dublin, Ireland

so i've been living in my apartment for over a week now! funny how time flies.

i started my job this week, which is going really well. it's so close to home, the people are great, we get paid well, and don't have to do much. perfect!

i guess the next thing to talk about would be the party last night. and what a party it was! i was expecting a lot of people because the guest list had 80 people on it, and people were bringing people... but i really wasn't expecting what actually happened.

there was a "pre-party" that started at about 7:30, and the apartment was already full. then people just kept showing up as the night progressed. at about 2 i tried to count, got to about a hundred and stopped counting. there were people in our apartment, the apartment next door, and all along the balcony. crazy.

so, as you can imagine, it got a little rowdy.

there was a dj with a huge set-up upstairs (and a microphone, which came in handy), two rooms full of dancing, lots of food and drinks, and lots of drunk people. myself included.

it was truly the best party i have ever been to, and it was in my apartment. so fun! and it was great to meet all the people in the neighbourhood. christophe and i are legends now.

so other than the...

crazy polish guy...

there were really no disasters.

well, okay, we learned that you can't have two people doing an irish jig on a wooden coffee table.

but, overall, the party was quite a success. today christophe and i woke up around noon (did i mention the party started clearing out around 6am?) to people cleaning our apartment. how nice! i made breakfast for us and the people next door, then we had a pretty lazy day.

... and let me just say, that will be our first and last party...

back to work tomorrow!

Send a Compliment

Hey doll!
Great to talk to you during the festivities. That's an excellent picture of Christophe showing off his tonsils! I'm guessing the nice picture of you two together was taken early in the evening. Oh, and the coffee table...think Duct tape!

What a shame. They just don't make coffee tables like they used to. Why in my day, we could have 5 people doing an Irish jig, a cigar girl and a bartender mixing manhattans on our coffee table quite comfortably.

I've got one piece of advice. Stick with the people who were cleaning your apartment at noon the next day. They come in quite handy over time.
