Etosha National Park.... (who needs Bolivia)

Outjo, Namibia

We spent the next couple of days on safari in Etosha National Park. We didn't spot any cats other than some lions way off in the distance but we there were tons of grazing animals. In one camera frame you get giraffes, zebra, warthogs, kudu, Springbok etc...a bit like a scene from the lion king. It was awesome.

The other fun thing about Etosha is that it has a massive salt pan in the middle of it. This means you can mess around with the perspective on your camera and take pictures such as...

In the evenings we stayed in a camp in the park. The camp had a flod-lit watering hole next to it so we took down a few ciders, midnight snacks and sleeping bags and sat out under the stars all night watching animals come into feed. At about 3.30 a female white rhino and her baby came in to drink. They stayed with us for a couple of hours. It was awesome to watch them being completely natural. You could see the calf being naughty, getting told off by its mum and then being told to lay down and go to sleeep.
