Neil pointing at a flying squirrel
This morning we woke up from a pretty rubbish night’s sleep due to a group of
British
teenagers partying late at night and then coming back and making so much noise outside our paper-thinned bedroom. Due to this I struggled to get back to sleep as I was so irritated and then got up to go the toilet almost tripping up over a girl who had passed out outside our door and then saw the reason why as there was sick all over the shared toilets. Nice. And highly respectful in a Muslim country. No wonder we have the bad reputation as ‘Brits Abroad’! At 7:30am, we met Neil and Reggie downstairs to have breakfast before making a brief stop off at the ATM before catching a taxi to the bus station.
On the bus to Sepilok
Chris had already booked the bus in advance through the hotel and when we turned up it was an ancient old rickety bus, not ideal and the most comfortable for our flashpacker friends! So Chris being clever went up to the ticket master and said, ‘You told me on the phone it was a V.I.P. bus’ which they didn’t and they gave him a full refund! Next to this bus was a super luxury one with tickets the same price but with more than double the room so we got on there instead! Hehe… So off we headed to
Sepilok
! The journey took around 7 hours and when we arrived; we were picked up and taken to our lovely guesthouse in the middle of the jungle.

Chairs we dare not sit in
Once there we spent the evening sat in the bar, relaxing before retiring to our 12 bunk bedded dormitory.
