The apartment

So i've moved into my apartment in Kunming will be here for the next 2 months, its a bit of a distance from work but thats more than made up for by the massive sofa!
Theres also plenty of amenities close by a big french supermarket and Cinema are within 10 minutes walk.

The living room

The house itself is part of a large complex of about 20 blocks, there quite tastefully designed and have lots of private garden area. We also have guards who are dressed in army cammo, a bit odd.

Kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathroom off to the right.

Well anyway not a lot more to say, not done much this weekend apart from settle in and go to the shops.
Visa extension tomorrow morning barring any hiccups.

Smart place! lap of luxury or what! Hope you can get the visa problems sorted. couldn't you just sign up for a year then abandon them?

I could but officially i'd get a $300 fine, whether I can get out of the country before they catch me is another question. I'm kind of fidgeting to move on anyway, 2 months with no travelling is enough for me.

I’m Thai tourist planning to stay in Kunming 1 month in September ’08. Having read your valuable, informative blog, I’m interested in your apartment complex. Could you please tell me how much is the rent/month, deposit for 1 or 2 bedroom including electricity, gas, water? For rental purpose I’d like to know the website or e-mail address or fax of other owner’s Apartment in these 20-block complexes; I can’t read or write Chinese. Can I contact them in English?

Could you please recommend me some other web sites that I can make reservation for 1-2 bedroom serviced apartment that’s close to Shopping Mall, Supermarket, Public Park or lake. Including the name of the streets that’s have Serviced Apartment which are convenient for shopping and get close to the public parks pr lakes.
Looking forward for your reply in this blog. Thank you very much.
