Day 17: Vacay from my vacay

New York, United States

Today was a lazy break from my trip. It's the halfway point and I'm in my parents home for a few days, catching up with some friends (I hope) and eating at places from my childhood. First up was Golden's Deli.
. Homemade Knishes, Dr. Browns soda and a black and white cookie. Golden's has a full size subway car in the middle of the restaurant that you can sit and eat in.
We had Costco lunch afterward and I picked up some staples for the trip. To contrast bulk food grazing we went to the GREATEST STEAKHOUSE IN THE WORLD. Peter Luger's in Brooklyn
Holy cow! Followed by angry text and email messages from my sister when she found out where we had gone. Sorry Cara.

By the way, my sister, loveable, adorable, intelligent, sweet, crafty, smart, a little naughty, but not too much, and an all around awesome person is single and needs to find someone deserving of her. She likes boys. Call me and I'll vet you. Seriously.

I can't comment on this as i was there. And happily too. Boy that steak was great. Thanks for being here as I probably would have not gone to Peter Lugar for quite some time if you or your sister hadn't shown up.

  • OK, I can't be jealous if my brother is actively trying to pimp my out. :)

I wasn't angry, but I do know what I'm missing, so I can honestly say, "I'm jealous." Mmmmm. Peter Luger's steak is to a steak lover what the Pearly Gates are to a devout Christian. I like Christians; anyone who loves something as much as I love Peter Luger's steak is okay by me.

Liked that train in the restaurant. Who came up with that idea? "Hey, why don't we stick that train in here?" Ridiculous.

I know some great guys for Cara... caveat - in Buffalo. Double caveat - not Jewish. Oh well.
