Bush fires and the devils marbles

Alice Springs, Australia

The alarm went off at 5:30m this morning to get on the road first thing for an exhausted day of non-stop driving. Drove pretty much all day, with just a brief stop-over at Devil’s marbles which are a collection of round-ish rocks seemingly scattered in the desert.

Chris tried to move them but didn’t have much luck.

Also drove through a bush fire, which was a bit too close for our liking considering we couldn’t see and had to drive on the other side of the road to avoid our jerry cans from exploding. Pretty scary. Then stopped for the night at The Tropic of Capricorn rest stop just North of Alice Springs. Long day, awesome sleep.
