So, we left Vancouver about 27 hours ago and should be landing in Costa Rica in about 40 mins. The upside is that we can now add Panama to the list of places we've been.

Flying into Costa Rica last night was thwarted by a thunder storm over the airport, we circled a couple of times but our brave pilots decided to forgo a heroic landing in Costa Rica and high tail it for Panama instead. After sitting on the runway for about 40 mins they decided to call it a night and put us up in the local airport hotel.

So score for the day:
3 Beers : 0 Animals of interest : 0 Worrying insect bites.

All in all not a bad way to start 3 weeks of wandering.

Oh... And why we came over here in the first place.
