Travel Evolution - Darwin NT

Darwin, Australia

Got to Darwin late on Wednesday night (25th July) and am staying at the backpackers (Melaleuca on Mitchell). Not bad for a backpackers - not the best I have stayed at but the chicks I am sharing with are really cool.

Checked out the Darwin show with some pig racing, spear throwing and also a rodeo. Very cool to do something a little different. Took a ride on the dodgem cars which was kind of fun as well as watched motor bikes race horses. We checked out a few of the exhibitions - I found a great kids artistic work of a sheep made from a cauliflower - I just had to photograph it.

Been cruising around town - took a trip out to the Mindil Beach Markets where I watched the sun set and saw some local talent playing all types of musical instruments.

Have been enjoying the scenery (an no I am not talking about the 2 legged variety), swimming - the weather has been great & relaxing. I have been taking Nanna naps - because I can.

My friend Ken learnt how to play the didgeridoo which I have taken photos of - he is a relatively good player for someone who only learnt today! Maybe he has natural talent....NOT!
