View from the back of the submarine USS Bowfin, Pearl Harbor

In the background are the Arizona memorial (the white rectangular block) and the Missouri. The Arizona sunk on Dec 7th during the attack on Pearl Harbor, taking most of her crew with her (over 1,100 - of which the average age was 19). It was on the decks of the Missouri that the Japanese surrender was accepted a little under 4 years later.
