First Day in Rome

Rome, Italy

My first day in Rome. I noted that there were a lot of people on mopeds. It seemed like the easiest way to get around the city. When i got to my hotel i dropped my bags off and relaxed for about a half hour. After i was done relaxing i went and saw the Piazza di Spagna then walked for about ten minutes until i reached The Trevi Fountain. At the Trevi Fountain i tried some fresh coconut. Never doing that again.
Went back to the hotel and went asleep.

Day 2

I woke up early to try to beat some of the crowd didn't quite work out as i planned. I left the hotel to walk for a bit until i reached The Vatican Museum. A beautiful place, i loved the look of the place. I loved the giant gold colored orb siting in the courtyard.
After an hour i left to go see the Pantheon.
What a beautiful sight to see. I loved how there was a hole in the ceiling to natural light in and help air the place out. After a bit i left to go get some food from a small restaurant near by i ended up getting Italian pizza. It was delicious. After i was done eating and i paid for my meal i left to go see St. Peter's Basilica.
What a tall piece of sculpture to see i felt like an ant compared to it. I started to get tired so i walked back to my hotel and relaxed for the rest of the day and slept.

Day3

Tried waking up early to beat the crowd again, no luck there. I left my hotel to go see the Colosseum. When i got inside i was dumb founded by the shear size of the place. I went to the bottom of the Colosseum and tried to imagine all the plays, gladiator fights, and holidays celebrated here. After i was done imagining those things i went to the top and looked out and realized how far off the ground i was. That didn't go over to well with my stomach. I crawled back down and waited for my stomach to settle before i fully left the place.
After i left i went to the Catacombs. What a lovely sight.
Especially after a unsettled stomach. Bones here, bones there, bones everywhere. Just what i needed.
After a bit i left and went to see The Museum of the Palazzo dei Conservatori.
There was a lot of statues and sculptures to see. it took a while to see it all. After i finished i went back to my hotel, ate dinner, and then went to bed.

Day 4
Saw everything i wanted to see so i went and wandered until i had to back to the hotel to get the stuff ready to leave. What a fun and relaxing trip this was.
