first day
Beijing
,
China
i flew in friday afternoon and went straight to an atm and made sure i had extra yuan to pay for a cab to the nearest hotel, which was hopefully in a cheaper price range. for that first nite i just stayed around the block my hotel was on and kinda check out the scenery from there while i got settled in. for dinner though I went to a small restaraunt and ate some of beijing's famous duck. its really interesting because they wrap the duck meat in a pancake which gives it a sweet taste. after that i went back to my hotel and unpacked for my three night stay and then went to sleep.

second day
Beijing
,
China
so i woke up that morning and decided that instead of planning out a day of site seeing, that i'd just get my bag and camera and walk around Beijing for the day. so i left the hotel and decided to have some rice for breakfast and then walked off. the modern architecture alone throughout the city is amzing. most of it is just what seems to be random geometric shapes and others seem to be impossible, other than the fact that your standing in front of it. and the uses for these buildings are just as random. i took a cab several times that day and walked alot more than i normally would have and realized that the city itself is pretty big. so then i got back to my hotel and planned out my day for sunday which was when i was going to do a more studing version of sight seeing.
