Living in a castle...

Grantham, United Kingdom

So we finally made it (luggage and all!) to Harlaxton. Mom and I traveled around the week before, and we ended up in Austria, Denmark, and Switzerland. We got to see Vienna and Salzburg, as well as the alps. It was really pretty, but really cold.
We met up with everyone at Heathrow (after spending the night there on a bench). After a 2 hour bus trip, we arrived at Harlaxton College. The manor is beautiful, and even the carriage house is huge!
Yesterday, Liesa, Alison, Emily and I met up with mom in Grantham and went to ASDA, which is the British WalMart. They have escalators for the carts! Since my straightner exploded, I had to buy a new one, and we had to get a few other things we forgot. We found prawn cocktail and beef jerkey flavored potatoe chips! Emily and I were really excited to find Diet Coke, which seems to be rare around here.
Everyone is really nice, and the British teachers and staff are really entertaining. The food is kind of interesting. We had some kind of strange sausage things today, but at least there's always salads!
We start classes tomorrow morning at 8:30, and next weekend we're going to London Friday-Sunday.
