After leaving Ian and Candy’s we headed up towards the Coromandel, finding a Doc site at Dickey Flat. Chris went for a fish, catching two trout but only babies so he returned them.

Thankfully Ian was kind and gave us the smoked kahawai that they caught yesterday, which we used half of and made into a lovely warm salad with poached eggs.
