Australia Zoo
Brisbane

Australia
Today we went to
Australia
Zoo (The one that the Crocodile Hunter - Steve Irwin - owned).
Chris says - It was lots of fun when we had our photo taken with a snake around our shoulders.
Sally says - We saw some tiger cubs in the tiger temple and then we fed a pair of elephants.
We got to see lots of native Austalian animals and we were allowed to feed and stroke them including a (baby) American Alligator and an elephant.
We all had a fantastic day out, the zoo's atmosphere was relaxed with a real 'hands on' approach with the animals and we thoroughly recommended it to anyone who gets the chance to come here!

Adelaide Zoo
Adelaide
,
Australia
The kids decided that they wanted to go to the zoo today so we headed back to the city again. We had hoped to see Panda's but it seems their enclosure won't be finished until the end of 2009. Chris and Sally got to feed kangaroos in the children's zoo, and enjoyed looking at all the animals. The zoo wasn't that big but is undergoing a large revamp so will be really great once that is finished.
We headed out of the city to Port
Adelaide
and encountered a rather strange Aboriginal woman who was less than amusing! The town itself is also undergoing a lot of development and will probably look totally different in 5-10 years. We drove along the coast back to
Glenelg
and passed some really nice areas along the way. Henley and Waterside were really pretty with lake or ocean views. We stopped at The Buffalo restaurant which is a replica of one of the first migrant ships from England, after a huge dinner we were allowed to explore the rest of the ship which had been turned into a museum.

Millions of tourists travel to India's locales to watch the pristine wildlife. It is home to some of the world's most exotic collection of birds and and animals in the world. Tourists visit the wildlife environment because it is vast and exciting.
The Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, which is located in the rugged areas of Rajasthan, and the Kaziranga
National Park
in Assam are one of the popular wildlife sites. Other great
National Park
s in India are the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, Kanha
National Park
, Bandhavgarh
National Park
, Bandipur Tiger Reserve, Ranthambore
National Park
, and Gir
National Park
. These sites possess a great variety of flora and fauna species. Tourists can also experience safari packages in most wildlife centers. Guests are offered the opportunity to enjoy these adventures in groups, in secured transportation services such as jeeps, and even elephant safaris. So when in India, do not forget to explore the wildlife.

Melbourne day 2
Melbourne
,
Australia
trying to ship my luggage, waiting for the paperwork to come through. DONE!!!
I hope to get to the zoo today. also a walking tour, and avisit to the Vicoria Markets.
Victoria Market is closed on Mon and Wed. But I did make it to the Zoo.
The walking tour was very enjoyable. Lots of history and even chocolate.
Finally figured out the tram system ( I keep trying to get on the wrong way).
The day was so hot that the animals were mostly in hiding or taking a break in the shade (hard to see).
I am sending out some post cards. so keep and eye out you may get one.
Jenny- have no seen any shot glasses yet. but I am not buying much until the hiking tour is over
